Cyclone drop in chillers require that the coil always be completely immersed in water with adequate water flow.
Observe min/max flow rates critical to chiller operation in ‘Specifications’ table
Chiller unit must not be placed in a confined space, as restricted air flow will limit the efficiency and lifespan. Do not restrict airflow by placing unit in a cabinet or closet.
A Cold Water Cap Tube (CWCT) is required for desired water temps between 50-65F on available models. Standard units operate in the range of 65-85 F.
Cyclone® drop-in chillers with low profile, compact design allow for easy placement in tight spaces. With three capacities available, they range from ¼ to ½ HP and utilizing a flexible refrigerant line set with robust titanium helical coil for maximum heat transfer efficiency. These chillers require no plumbing as the titanium coil sits directly in the tank or sump.
Typical applications include living exhibits, research, lobster, and seafood holding tanks, hydroponics, and home aquariums.
