Clemmons, NC (January 26, 2015)—Hayward Flow Control announces the launch of its new A-Series LifeStar®VS variable speed pump to our industry leading Aquatic flow control product lines.  The LifeStar®VS pump is ideally designed for operation in aquatic and animal life support systems as well as aquaculture installations where energy consumption is critical.  Its’ specialized construction also makes it safe for even the most sensitive aquatic habitats.

The LifeStar®VS is available with a 2 HP pump with 230V Single Phase TEFC motor.  The pump features a corrosion resistant Glass Filled Polypropylene housing, a silicon carbide shaft seal, with all wetted hardware manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel, guaranteeing superior performance in aquatic applications.  The LifeStar®VS is a self-priming, and fully rated variable speed premium pump featuring an innovative multi-position digital control interface. This results in high flow rates and reduced energy consumption.  The pump is fully programmable with a self-contained 24-hour clock and up to 8 custom speed and timer functions.
